Additional Notes: There was probably a previous first edition printed by Abel Jeffes that is no longer extant and is therefore not included in DEEP; see Lukas Erne, Beyond the Spanish Tragedy: A Study of the Works of Thomas Kyd (Manchester: Manchester UP, 2001), 59-67. Greg calls this edition a quarto-form octavo [(4°-form) 8°], but it is better described as a large-paper quarto; see G.T. Tanselle, "The Concept of Format," Studies in Bibliography 53 (2000): 67-115.
